Art Practice
I seek to create work that will entice viewers to pause and spend a moment in the painting’s world.

If there is a person in the painting, I hope that the viewer forms even a small level of empathy for the subject. Even if I’m working on still life objects, my goal is to have the viewer make some connection with the artwork.
"The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." ~Aristotle
My work is in a primitive state of finding a balance between my realistic training while also capturing my voice and my perspective. The end result is less realism and more believability; using my knowledge of form, value, color and light to depict realistic looking scenarios, but with more atmospheric backgrounds and experimental color.
